The new Investment Director, Alexandra Morris, has more than 20 years' wide-ranging experience from the financial industry. Morris joins SKAGEN from DNB Asset Management where she has been Chief Investment Officer since August 2015.

"We are delighted to welcome Alexandra on board. She is well-known and respected in the financial industry. We all look forward to her contribution to ensuring continued strong investment performance and service excellence to our clients," commented Henrik Lisaeth, Chairman of the Board of SKAGEN.

Alexandra Morris is a Certified Financial Analyst and has a background as portfolio manager and financial analyst. From 2004-2015, she was Senior Portfolio Manager of two of Odin's European mutual funds before joining DNB Asset Management as CIO. Alexandra has also served on several boards, including Nordic Nanovector, a biotech company listed on the Norwegian stock exchange and as chairman of the nomination committee of Kongsberg Gruppen, a large defence company in Norway.

"SKAGEN Funds is the most exciting asset manager in Scandinavia. The company is very well regarded by its clients and commands great respect from its competitors. I see it as a fantastic opportunity to be involved in further developing SKAGEN over the years to come. I have come to realize that I prefer working in a more close-knit environment, where the focus in asset management is more concentrated and the distance shorter between clients, employees and leaders," commented Morris.

Morris will join SKAGEN on 1 September 2016 to head up the portfolio management department consisting of 23 managers. She will work closely alongside CEO Leif Ola Rød in her new role.
